MERCY Malaysia’s charity art exhibition and live auction, presented with CIMB Artober 2026, runs from 28 October to 1 November at Ombak KLCC. All proceeds support the General Humanitarian Fund.
KUALA LUMPUR, 21 October 2026 — MERCY Malaysia today announced Art for Humanity 2026, a charity art auction that brings together 30 Malaysian contemporary artists in support of humanitarian relief. Presented in conjunction with CIMB Artober 2026, the exhibition will be held from 28 October to 1 November 2026 at Level 1, Ombak KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, followed by the Live Charity Art Auction on 1 November from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
Every artwork begins with an act of giving. An artist offers a work shaped by memory, feeling and imagination, and a collector responds with a bid. Beyond the gallery, that exchange can become emergency relief, medical assistance or the support a community needs to recover. This is the spirit behind Art for Humanity 2026.
Across canvas, sculpture and other artistic mediums, each work in the collection carries its own voice, story and perspective. Together, the artworks reflect vulnerability, resilience, memory and hope, and invite audiences to see appreciation not as an end, but as a way to stand with communities facing crises.
Proceeds from the sale of each artwork will go to MERCY Malaysia’s General Humanitarian Fund, which enables MERCY Malaysia to respond when and where needs emerge. The Fund supports emergency response and relief, health and medical assistance, water, sanitation and hygiene, food and essential items, early recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction, disaster preparedness and risk reduction, community resilience, and longer-term development.
The initiative carries forward the spirit of MERCY Malaysia’s previous art auctions held in support of Gaza. In 2024, the MERCY for Gaza Art Auction raised more than RM1.2 million for humanitarian relief, supporting life-saving assistance including medical care, food security and rehabilitation efforts. Art for Humanity 2026 extends that spirit to a wider humanitarian purpose.
“A crisis does not wait. Neither should compassion. Through Art for Humanity 2026, every bid can help strengthen the capacity to respond, recover and rebuild with speed, dignity and purpose,” said Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Faizal Mohd Perdaus, President of MERCY Malaysia.
The collection is curated by prominent Malaysian contemporary artist Bayu Utomo Radjikin, who is also one of the participating artists, and brings together established and emerging voices in a shared expression of compassion. The initiative is supported by CIMB Artober 2026 as Event Partner and Henry Butcher Art Auctioneers as Auction Partner. Soraya Khairuddin will serve as auctioneer for the Live Charity Art Auction.
MERCY Malaysia invites collectors, art lovers, partners and members of the public to take part in an initiative where every bid can become a gesture of solidarity.
