Pakistan Flood Emergency
Devastating floods in Pakistan have claimed over 800 lives, left 250,000 displaced, and over a million affected.
This recurring tragedy is a stark reminder of how climate change is amplifying the frequency and intensity of disasters.
MERCY Malaysia is monitoring the situation closely and will deploy a team to provide urgent humanitarian assistance.
Without urgent action, this devastation will keep repeating. Together, we must stay informed, support relief efforts, and push for stronger climate resilience so the most vulnerable are never left behind.
Let’s play our part by supporting humanitarian efforts for Pakistan and advocating for stronger climate resilience. Every contribution counts - donate today and help save lives:

In the remote village of Kg Kawayoi Ulu Pinangoh, Sabah, the nearest clinic is 60km away along rough roads that are often difficult to access. For the community here, this distance makes healthcare a challenge.
Most families rely on farming and estate work for their livelihoods, with limited income to meet daily needs. Children travel nearly 30km to attend school, many staying in hostels or with relatives so they can continue their studies.
To help ease these challenges, MERCY Malaysia recently held a medical camp at the village community hall. Residents received medical screenings, dental care, pap smears, breast examinations, and eye checks with spectacles provided. Health talks and hygiene kits were also shared with the community.
For Kg Kawayoi Ulu Pinangoh, the camp meant more than just medical services. It was a step toward better access, stronger resilience, and a healthier future.

When floods force schools to close, children lose more than lessons. They lose the safety, stability, and hope that education brings.
Swipe to see how MERCY Malaysia’s Education in Emergencies (EiE) programme supports learning even when formal schooling is disrupted.
By complementing existing efforts through informal education, we help protect children’s resilience, dignity, and a brighter future.
